Jumping spiders make great pets and companions, especially for beginner spider keepers. Often we get asked about tarantulas as pets, but we do not recommend them as first pet bugs. They are a potentially 20+ year commitment and are rarely visible or handleable. Jumping spiders are active, curious, and friendly. Their life span is up to 2 years in captivity. Regal jumping spiders are the largest species of jumpers in the US.
