PDX Insectarium Summer Camp
Join us for an exciting hands-on summer camp designed for young bug enthusiasts (ages 8-18). Each day focuses on different aspects of entomology, from animal care to pinning and field identification. Choose individual days or sign up for the full experience at a discount! Full Camp Discount! Enroll in all 4 days for $212 (20% discount) and receive a Certificate of Completion. Space is limited (8 spots per day), sign up now and explore the incredible world of bugs this summer! If you don't want to sign up for the full camp but want more than one day, you will need to pay for each day separately. When you sign up, we will send you a form to fill out and a full schedule/syllabus within three weeks of camp, but feel free to contact us for more info. Cancellation Policy
- Cancellation 30 days before the program begins: 100% refund. - Cancellation 21 days before the program begins: 50% refund. - Cancellation 14 days before the program begins: no refund. - All refunds are subject to a 3% processing fee. Tuesday 10am-2pm: Introduction ($50)

Hands-on care lessons for mantises, jumping spiders, tarantulas, scorpions, isopods, cockroaches, and beetles Take-home materials: care sheets, optional pet bug starter kit ($15) - darkling beetle or isopods Thursday 10am-2pm: Insect Pinning Workshop ($100)
Learn how to relax, pin, and preserve dead insects Take-home materials: pinning kit, two pinned insects, and a shadowbox Friday 10am-2pm: Insect Identification & Field Walk ($50) Learn to identify local insect species Guided bug walk Take-home materials: bug-catching kit |
