Hello and thank you for your interest in volunteering at the insectarium. Coordinating volunteers is a job in itself and we are only a couple of people, so while we do need help, we need people who are independent and self-starters. Currently we won't be accepting any volunteer requests by email or DM. If you want to volunteer, come in during our business hours and let's talk! If you show up consistently and show interest, we can move forward with a more serious volunteer position. Thank you! Examples of things we need help with:
Volunteers can help out as much or as little as they want and they can do the tasks that they prefer. Volunteers that can commit to a schedule are preferred, even if it's limited. We don't have the capacity to officially hire anyone yet, but we can pay a little for certain things. Please come visit and talk to me in person if you are interested. Can my child volunteer for you? We have a few minors that have been helping us out and we get a lot of requests for children to volunteer. We do have an internship program for ages 8-16. |
